Rodney James Salmons

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rodney James Salmons. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother and grandfather, but he was also loved by many others. On February 3rd, 2025 he passed away due to lung cancer, surrounded by the ones he loved. Rodney was a hard working man, who enjoyed music, cars, and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand wherever and whenever needed. Rodney was born on April 15th, 1962 in Decatur Illinois to Nancy Webb and Robert Salmons. He had three younger sisters, Rhonda, Tiffany and Debra, who he loved very much. He is survived by his wife Lori, son Rodney Jacob, and his two daughters Jessica and Kayla. Although he was taken from us too soon, we will continue to celebrate his life and cherish all the wonderful memories we made with him while he was here with us. We would like to end with a quote from Winnie The Pooh, because we feel it represents our feelings perfectly, which is "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.".
