December 1, 1937 — February 15, 2015

Robert Allan Vernon

He was born in Oklahoma to parents Gerald and Isabel. The eldest, and only son, of four children he exemplified the role as a big brother to his sisters, Kaye Adams, Valerie Vernon, and Jerry Anne Vernon. Robert demonstrated family devotion, leadership, generosity, spiritual advice, and more. Forty years ago, Robert met his soul mate Verona. It was at a bible prayer study where their faith in God and common interests bonded their personal journey together in perfect love. Verona's faith now guides her through this transition and her reflection of the loving memories of her life with Robert. His nurturing fatherly ways and counsel were demonstrated with his gentle, and firm guidance given to the surviving children, out of union: Clay and Roe Vernon, Kai Barlow, Ginger, Eriq, Enon, and Babette Beriones. He also graciously touched the heart and souls of his grandchildren, cousins, family members, and friends. Always in reflection with his religious beliefs; to lead a righteous life to all as commanded by God. The fragrant splendor of myrrh and frankincense perfume, made by Kai, surrounded his worldly body at the family's last blessings as his soul soars into the heavens infused in Love made by Jesus. Robert shall always and forever be within our hearts and soul.

Robert's desire to master scripture and to delve into the meaning of life is shown by the brilliant selection of scriptures and commentary as published in his accomplished book, "Living the Greatest Commandments".

" God's word is spiritually rich and satisfying, full of God's wisdom and righteousness, clearly conveying mankind's deep need of God's mercy and grace, revealing God's glory, often beautiful, often candid, often challenging, always instructive, always truthful, sometimes shrouded, but oh so very worthwhile to study and meditate upon! It lights the pathway to understanding wisdom, Christian maturity, blessings, and eternal life"(Vernon, 2009). Quote from Living the Greatest Commandments By Robert Vernon
