Carol Sue Boyd

With great love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Carol Sue Boyd on June 13, 2025, surrounded by her family at Brookdale North in Gilbert, Arizona. She was 72 years old.

Carol was born in Richmond, Indiana December 19, 1952, to William and Juanita Burns. She spent her childhood years in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Carol married Richard Williams in 1972; they later divorced. In 1979, Carol joined her siblings in Eugene, Oregon. Eventually, Carol settled in Idaho and married Richard Boyd; later, they divorced, and she settled in Colorado. In 2020, Carol followed her family to Arizona.

Carol was a woman of incredible strength, radiant humor, and independence, and loved everyone who crossed her path. Her smile always lit up a room, and her laugh left lasting echoes in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Carol will be most remembered for her smile, infectious laughter, and warm hugs-- hugs that could mend any broken day.

Carol was very talented and loved sewing and crafting. She often sewed her own dresses and other clothing. Carol loved ceramics and went on to become part-owner of Carol’s Ceramics in Twin Falls.

Carol’s greatest joy was her family and, of course, her little dogs. She poured endless love into raising her children and helping countless others, as well as doting on her grandchildren. Carol never missed a chance to offer laughter or a listening ear. She lives on in the stories they’ll tell, in the memories they’ll hold, and in the love that will always bind them.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Deborah, and her brother Bob.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Angela Miller and her husband Stacy of Twin Falls Idaho; her son, Rick Boyd and his wife Tracy of Gilbert Arizona; and her beloved grandchildren: Corbin Miller, Kylie Boyd, Tanner Boyd, Bayley Miller, Mackenzie Miller, Sydney Boyd, Katelyn Miller; her brother David and Polly Burns of Bend Oregon and many loved nieces and nephews.

Though we grieve her absence, we celebrate a life well-lived — one marked by laughter, love, and a spirit that could never be dimmed.

The family would like to give a heartfelt Thank You to Mom’s Brookdale North Gilbert family for the years of love and compassion. Mom always knew she was loved there. A special thank you to Sage Hospice, D’Wanna, and Rosie with UHC.

A Celebration of Life will be held in St. Petersburg, Florida, at a later date.
